Yes, candidates with an 80th percentile score on the CAT exam might be able to get admissions to the MBA course at Taxila Business School. However, it is not definite because the cutoff released by the institution of shortlisted candidates does not rely only on the secured entrance exam. The cutoffs are released after evaluating and calculating several parameters for the MBA course. One component is sure that candidates who have secured 80% in CAT will get 18 % weightage out of 20% weightage in the parameters of the qualifying test score. Check out the scaling of qualifying test weightage in the below table:
| CAT/XAT Percentile | CMAT (Total Score) | Weightage on 20 |
|---|---|---|
| 10 - 34 | 10 - 24 | 4 |
| 35 - 39 | 25 - 49 | 6 |
| 40 - 44 | 40 - 59 | 8 |
| 45 - 49 | 60 - 99 | 10 |
| 50 - 59 | 100 - 149 | 12 |
| 60 - 69 | 150 - 249 | 14 |
| 70 - 79 | More Than 250 | 16 |
| 80 - 90 | 18 | |
| More Than 91 | 20 |

Yes, As MBA in Rural Management is a specaialized MBA programme you need to appear for national-level MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, etc. After the exam, you'll go through GD-PI rounds and some colleges may test your interest in rural development through essays or group tasks.
Here is a special Pro tip for you: Start preparing early for GK and current rural issues as it really helps in interviews.

RedVersity does not consider any entrance exams such as CAT or MAT for the admission to PGCM-PRHC. The institute considers merit based admission with a minimum aggregate in the previouse examination. Candidates must qualify group discussion and personal interview after the entrance based clearance. Furthermore, the final admission will be granted after the counselling process ends.

The final IIM admission result after IIM shortlist and WAT-PI is announced in April and May for all 20 IIMs. All the institutes release the final list of selected candidates individually and send admission letters to candidates via email. When the candidates receive the selection letter, they confirm admission by accepting the offer of admission letter and paying the admission fee.

CAT exam score has the weightage of about 40-60 per cent in IIM shortlist. The weightage varies for each IIM but is in the range of 40-60 per cent. Rest of the weightage is divided between academics, gender and work experience. However, in the final shortlist, weightage of CAT score is less than that of WAT-PI.

If you have a very good CAT score but poor academic record it is quite likely that you may not be shortlisted for top IIMs as the institutes prefer candidates with overall consistency in academics. Class 12 scores holds a lot of importance in shortlisting of candidates for WAT-PI.

IIM shortlist is prepared on the basis of CAT cut off, class 10 score, class 12 score, graduation score, work experience (if any). To encourage diversity in the classroom the IIMs award extra points to female and transgender candidates at the time of shortlisting as well as final selection.
