General Eligibility for SSCBS UG Courses

SSCBS admits undergraduate students only through CUET (UG) scores for all UG programs (including BMS, BBA  (FIA) and B.Sc.) as part of DU's 2025‑26 admission cycle. 

Core Requirement: Mathematics in Class 12

For the main SSCBS UG courses like BMS and BBA (FIA):

You must have studied Mathematics in Class 12 as a subject.
 If you did not have Mathematics in 12th, you are not eligible to take admission in BMS or BBA (FIA) at SSCBS. 

This is because these programs require you to appear in CUET (UG) with:

Mathematics/Applied Mathematics

A language

Section III (General Test)
for the merit calculation, and Math is compulsory to satisfy eligibility.

It's still possible to score 50+ in Physics and Chemistry in your 12th Maharashtra board exams even if your chapters aren't fully completed. The key is strategic preparation and selective focus. Here's a detailed plan:

Step 1: Identify the High-Yield Chapters

Focus on chapters and topics that frequently appear in past papers. In Maharashtra Board 12th:

Magnetic Effects of Current & Magnetism

Optics (Ray Optics and Wave Optics basics)

Modern Physics (Photoelectric effect, Nuclear Physics)

Step 2: Use Short Notes & Formulas

Make a one-page formula sheet for physics and chemistry reactions/equations.

Chemistry: Reactions, order of reactivity, p-block, d-block essentials, and common organic reaction mechanisms.

Step 3: Solve Previous Years' Board Papers

After that, focus on repeated or frequently asked questions.

Step 4: Do Selective Practice

Don't aim to finish the entire syllabus now — instead:

Physics: Solve numericals from previous exams, especially simple formula-based questions.

Chemistry: Memorize reactions and practice writing them cleanly; inorganics can be learned quickly with tables.

Step 5: Time Management

Allocate 2–3 hours per day for Physics and 2–3 hours for Chemistry.

Divide each day: 50% theory revision + 50% numericals/practice.

Step 6: Smart Exam Strategy

Attempt easier chapters first in the exam.

Write formulas and reaction equations clearly — even if you skip some parts, correct formulas fetch marks.

Don't waste time on very hard questions — move to the next.
