Yes, you can easily get admission to B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture at LPU with 782 marks in Class 12th (which is a strong score). LPU's eligibility is around 60% with science subjects, so you comfortably meet the criteria and can apply through merit or LPUNEST (for better scholarship).
The total fee would be approximately INR 1.8 lakh per year for tuition (INR 90,000 per semester). Hostel charges usually range around INR 1–1.3 lakh per year depending on the type (AC/non-AC, seater). So overall, it comes to roughly INR 2.8–3.1 lakh per year. Having maths as an optional subject in class 12 is not enough for B.Tech CSE at LPU; the official condition is that Physics, Mathematics and English must be among the main subjects in the 10+2 with at least 60% aggregate, along with qualifying LPUNEST or JEE Main. If maths is truly optional and not counted in the core PCM group, the profile may not meet the basic eligibility for CSE. For a clear picture, it is better to match the class 12 mark‑sheet pattern with LPU's B.Tech CSE guidelines on the official website before deciding.

With 96 percentile, you're already in a strong position. At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, you will likely get a good branch (even CSE/COE chances are decent depending on cutoffs). But honestly don't rush.If you still have another JEE attempt left, it makes sense to wait and try to improve. Even a small jump can open better options (top NITs, IIITs, etc.).Simple way to think-
If Thapar is your safe + comfortable option → keep it
But don't lock in yet if you can still improve your score
You're in a good spot. Just play it smart and keep options open.
