Students can clear their compartment in CBSE 12th through specific rules and each passing requires certain actions. Students who exceeded the six attempted chances for their CBSE compartment examinations (up to 2013) may sit for the test as private candidates according to university rules. CBSE Board Exam Dress Code
The dress code for students attending CBSE 10th Exam/CBSE 12th Exam is as follows:

For Regular Students: Students attending from schools are required to wear their school uniform. 
For Private Students: Private candidates should wear light clothes. It is advisable to choose comfortable attire, as students may need to spend several hours in exam hall.

Permitted Items for CBSE Board Exam

• CBSE 10th Admit Card/ CBSE 12th Admit Card & School Identity Card (For Regular Students)
• Regular students must carry their admit card and school identity card for verification at centre.
• CBSE Admit Card & Any Government-Issued Photo Identity Proof (For Private Students)
• Private students must bring their admit card along with any government-issued photo ID, such as a voter ID, Aadhar card, or passport, for identity verification.
• Stationery Items
• Students can carry essential stationery in a transparent pouch.
• A simple analogue watch is allowed. Digital watches, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices are not permitted.
• Students can carry a transparent water bottle for hydration.
• Students are allowed to bring a MetroCard, bus pass, or money for convenience.

Barred Items for CBSE Exam 

• Stationery and Electronic Devices
• Textual material, whether printed or written
• Pen drives, calculators, log tables (log tables will be provided by the exam centres)
• Electronic pens, scanners, etc.
• Communication Devices
• Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smartwatches, cameras, etc
• Wallets, goggles, handbags, and pouches are not allowed.
• Any edible items (except for diabetic students who are permitted to carry food for medical reasons).
• Any items that could be used for unfair means, such as unauthorised notes or gadgets, will lead to punishment under “Unfair Means” category.

Students need to work hard and prepare well for their Class 12 Board exams. They should complete the CBSE Class 12 syllabus 2026 and they also need to be familiar with the pattern of the exams. When they are well prepared, they will not feel the urge to cheat.

CBSE Board Exam Dress Code: What to Wear

In order to ensure uniformity during the exam, CBSE has issued clear guidelines for the students on the dress code.

• Regular students should wear school uniform.
• Private candidates must wear light clothes that are suitable for the examination environment.

Penalties for Unfair Means and Violations

CBSE has specified a long list of unfair means under various heads: cheating, possession of unauthorized material, and adoption of malpractices in the examination hall. The punishments prescribed for these are severe and can be one or more of the following:

• Cancellation of exams for the current and forthcoming year
• Debarment from future exams in certain cases
• Immediate disqualification if found indulging in cheating or using unfair means

• Complete 12th with Science: Choose Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as subjects.

• Pursue an MBBS degree: Get into a medical college through NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) and complete an MBBS course.

• Complete Internship: After MBBS, undergo a 1-year mandatory internship for hands-on experience.

• Specialize in Radiology: After MBBS, pursue a Postgraduate (PG) degree like MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Radiology.

• Gain Experience: Work in hospitals, clinics, or diagnostic centres to build expertise in Radiology.

• Certifications & Training: Consider additional certifications or fellowships for specialised knowledge in areas like MRI, CT scans, or interventional radiology.
