Students who are applying through reservation will have to submit their category certificate. If they fail to submit certificate, then they will not be allowed to take admission through reservation quota. Students have to keep their documents ready for verification.

A caste certificate in the regional language is not acceptable. In that case, what you can do is convert it into English language by the authority (where you got it issued). After getting it converted, scan it properly and upload it in PDF format while filling the GATE application form 2026.

No, OBC-NCL certificate is not required during the GATE 2026 form filling process. However, the certificate will be required at the time of admission process/counselling.

No, a bonafide certificate is not required while filling the GATE application form. However, candidates must keep their bonafide ready, as it will be needed at the time of counselling and in the admission process. The required documents for GATE 2026 registration include -

  • GATE photo and signature and,  
  • Scanned valid photo ID

Yes. TS ICET certificate verification round is a mandatory process during the counselling process. With the start of the TS ICET counselling, the admission committee shares the list of TS ICET helpline centres along with the slots available for all categories to attend the certificate verification.

Only the candidates who attend the TG ICET certificate verification round are eligible for the option entry.

As per the official notification, there is nothing as such mentioned regarding the old or new SC/ST certificate. However, it is better to upload an updated caste certificate in PDF format. The document must be uploaded at the time of form filling process.

You must verify all your documents during NIMCET counselling. You must also bring the original documents at the time of joining. The documents required for NIMCET Counselling are listed below:

  • NIMCET Admit Card
  • NIMCET Rank Card
  • Date of Birth Proof (10th marksheet)
  • 10th & 12th marksheets and passing certificates
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificate
  • 4 Recent passport size photographs

Yes, industry recognised certification is provided by B.P Marine Academy upon completion of the courses. Along with this assistance is also provided by the institute for placements. Regular job fairs are held along with mock interviews to prepare graduates for job opportunities.
