To be well prepared for the exam, it is important for the students to have good preparation materials. Students are advised to refer to NCERT books and more to prepare the syllabus. Mock tests, sample papers and previous years' question papers should be used to know the important topics and prepare accordingly.

To identify the important topics in CG PET syllabus, the students should solve previous year's question papers and sample papers. Once the students assess the questions and concepts repeatedly used in the exam, they will be able to identify the important topics.

The authorities have not announced any information about the revision of CG PET 2026 syllabus. However, if revised, the detailed syllabus will be available here. Students can check the previous year's syllabus for the time being, until the updated syllabus is released.

According to the CG PET pattern, the students will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer in their response sheet. For the incorrect answers, there will be no negative marking. Since there is negative marking, the students are advised to attempt as many questions as possible.

The question paper of CG PET is divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students will have to attempt 50 objective multiple choice questions from each section. A total of 150 questions have to be answered in the entrance exam.

CG PET application fee can be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No offline mode of fee payment will be accepted. The students will have to complete the payment process before the final date, otherwise they will not be registered for the exam.

Students will be able to edit/correct their submitted details in the CG PET application form. The online facility will be available to help the students made modifications in the details that they have submitted in the form. However, all information cannot be edited.

No, CG PET will not be conducted in other states. The entrance examination will be held in various cities and districts of the state. The official CG PET exam cities list will be released soon. Students are advised to check the list carefully to know their preference.

To be eligible for CG PET admission, all students should have passed 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying entrance examination with Maths, Physics and Chemistry. A minimum of 45% marks should have been scored in the exam (40% for reserved category).
