No, there is no negative marking in the CGBSE exams 2026 class 10, 12. Students receive one mark for each correct answer for objective-type questions. Hence, the students should attempt all questions confidently. However, students who write the wrong long-type answers will have their marks deducted.

The CGBSE 12th exam 2026 is held for 3 hours. The maximum marks for a subject are 100, including theory and practical. 30 marks are given for practical/internal assessments. All the candidates must secure minimum passing marks in five subjects to clear the exam. Students must secure a minimum of 33% aggregate and subject-wise to pass the exam.
