The Hyderabad CBIT is offering scholarship programs for undergraduate courses Bachelors of Engineering (B.Tech) among others. The merit-based scholarship is a fee waiver for only a few students who achieved a top rank (For example: under 5000) in TS EAMCET - it provides up to 50% tuition waiver.

 Under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) scholarships for students, it is a reality under the Telangana government policies for students with a maximum of INR 5 Lacs family income, which needs proof of income for their applicants. In case of SC/ST/OBC, the candidates are also eligible to apply for state-sponsored scholarships whereby the fee is reduced significantly. 

The B.Tech programme at CBIT Hyderabad has a fee structure of around INR 1.4 Lacs a year, in all, around INR 5.6 Lacs for four years under the government quota. Additional costs such as hostel fees (60,000-80,000 per year), mess charges, and exam fees may very well inflate this rough number to INR 8-9 lakh.

These Management quota seats trickle at least between INR 3 Lacs and 4 Lacs a year, hence around INR 12-16 Lacs in total for the course, depending on the type of branch and demand.  For a solid MBA program, CBIT Hyderabad cannot be compared with VBLT since VBIT is much more mainstream with respect to tech and management integration.

 With the good name of CBIT, the MBA students have the pick of some major recruiters, such as Deloitte and TCS, and package offerings that go at an average of INR 5 lakh-7 lakh. The placement record should be comparable, but VBIT offers an industry-relevant curriculum, albeit through less renowned outlets than CBIT.

 Since CBIT has had a name for general-civil engineering and infrastructure, obviously, here, it is at front, but where VBIT is really coming into its own is in offering an MBA with a focus.

Higher score requirements were for candidates in the General category with decreases of 10-15% for OBC/SC/ST cutoffs. All these cutoffs are for CCMT counseling for government quota seats. For management quota admissions, specific cutoffs of GATE may not be strictly applied; however, a valid GATE score may be required.

Actual cut-offs vary every year depending on the number of applicants and the demand per branch, with 2024 cutoffs reflecting the trends from the previous years.
