Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidate must have completed three years diploma in engineering in a relevant stream from a recognized university |
| M.E./M.Tech | Candidate must have completed B.E./B.Tech in relevant stream from a UGC recognized University/ Institute. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates over TS PGECET qualified candidates. Candidate must have secured 50% marks in group subjects taken together in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved category). |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree (BA / B.Com/ B.Sc/ BBA / BBM / BCA / BE / B. Tech / B. Pharmacy / Any 3 or 4 year Degree except Oriental Languages). Examinations of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examinations. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis. The minimum age of the candidates should be 19 years as on the date of notification (Candidates whose date of Birth up to 30th MARCH, 2003). No maximum age limit. |

Yes, it is a great college overall, CBIT was established with an objective of providing quality and value education to the students. It is one of the flagship institutions started by well known Philanthropist Sri.V.Jayachandra Reddy. College infrastructure is also quite maintained and almost all facilities and equipment. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and good furniture etc.
