Admissions at CIET, Chitkara University are entirely entrance based with teh institute accepting national and state level examination scores for the same. For BTech, the university accepts JEE Main scores for admission. Candidate must ensure that a valid score of the accepted exam is available along with meeting the eligibility requirements in order for the application to be considered for admission.

To study BCA from Chitkara University Institute of Engineering and Technology students have to complete the eligibility of having passed Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate though the selection process only requires personal interviews to finalise admissions for both BCA and BCA with AI & ML.

To study BE/ BTech from Chitkara University Institute of Engineering and Technology students have to either:

  • For candidates with JEE Main scores: Pass class 12/ diploma in a relevant field with at least 60% aggregate 
  • For candidates without JEE Main scores: Pass class 12/ diploma in a relevant field with at least 70% aggregate

The basic eligibility criteria Chitkara University for a BTech programme is given below:

  • Passed 12th with a min. aggregate of 60% or 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Maths; appeared in JEE Main-2026 (Jan/April); &, passed 12th examination in the year 2025 or appearing in 2026. The admission shall be made on the All India Rank (AIR) of JEE Main-2026.
  • Passed 12th with a min. aggregate of 70% or secured 70% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics; and, passed 12th exams in 2025 or appearing in 2026.
