Candidates seeking admission to UG and PG programs have to qualify for ITM NEST or JEE /PRE MCA /PAT /NATA /GATE /CMAT / MAT / XAT/ATMA/CAT entrance exam as applicable. For courses like BBA ITM NEST and for courses like B.Tech JEE is required. The CUET exam is not compulsory.

Not a good idea. If you are getting NITs/IITs/IIITs then leaving VIT can be a wise idea. VIT is most reputed NAAC A+ accredited University having 9 NIRF ranking. The placements opportunities in VIT are the best. So, rethink before taking any decision.
