IAS exam has nothing to do with your undergraduate stream. It is only the minimum qualification to appear in the examination. You may choose any optional subjects of your choice to appear in main examination while pre examination is same for all. You should visit the website of UPSC and find out the syllabus for civil service exam.

For IAS preparation, I would suggest you to complete your class 11th and 12th with all your efforts and try to learn all the basics. You need to be a bright student with very excellent marks after that you can go for your graduation.

Graduate then only you can give your Civil Services exam. For preparation go through the question pttern and prepare accordingly join coaching institutes if possible.

Well nothing is also so favourable. Sciene as a stream isn't that helpful for Civil service exam. But with thorough preparation you can crack it. many Medical doctors are IAS officers infact. So whatever you do, make sure you master it cause you'll have a paper on your subject too.
