The objective of the MFA in Painting curriculum at the College of Arts is designed to further develop the student's skills while promoting personal development on the basis of research in different styles of painting and the associated technology. Developing on
previous coursework work in creative working, students will establish a concept for a body of work. Abstraction, combination of medium, stylisation, utilising reality as basis of design based painting, utilising form, distortion and simplification will

The subjects offered in the first year of the MFA in Applied Art at the College of Arts are a combination of theoretical and practical subjects. Moreover, in some of the subjects, candidates have the choice to choose any one of the subjects according to their preferences. The list of the offered subjects is as follows:
Practical: Visualisation, Graphic Designing or Animation & TV Graphics, or Illustration
Theory: Advertising and Marketing Research, and Report & Viva Voce.

The college of Arts is affiliated with Delhi University, and it follows the seat reservation according to the Central Government of India. Check out detailed seat reservations for the MFA course below:
- SC (Scheduled Caste): 15% of the total seats.
- ST (Scheduled Tribe): 7.5% of the total seats.
- OBC (Other Backward Classes): 27% of the total seats.

The College of Arts offers five specialisations in the MFA course. Moreover, the total number of seats offered in these specialisations are 45. To get a seat in the programme, candidates must complete their BFA degree. Additionally, for the admission process, the college accepts the valid scores of CUET PG, followed by a Practical-Test/ Viva Voce conducted by the college. The admission to the postgraduate MFA course is based on the merit score that will be calculated by considering the combined CUET PG score (50% weightage) and Practical-test-score (50% weightage).

At the time of applying for the MFA course at the College of Arts and at the time of document verification. There are certain important documents that candidates are required to submit. Some of them are as follows:
- Senior School Certificate or equivalent.
- Category Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/CW.
- Passport Photograph.
- Candidates who passed from the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) are required to submit the proof of last qualifying examination center. the location of the examination center will determine the category: (D) Delhi or (OD) Outside Delhi.
- Self-attestation by the candidate is mandatory.

The accurate time for the Practical Based Entrance Test for admissions to MFA courses at the College of Arts, University of Delhi, will be announced later on the website. However, check the other important details regarding the Practical Test in the below-mentioned pointers:
- Candidates to report one hour earlier than scheduled time, i.e., duration of the exam- 10:30 am to 4:00 pm
- The candidates should produce their own drawing boards and art materials. Only the answer sheet and clay will be supplied by the college.

No, direct admissions into MFA courses at the College of Arts, University of Delhi, are not allowed. To get admission into this course, candidates are required to complete their BFA degree according to the chosen specialsiations. Moreover, the admission is based on CUET PG scores, followed by Practical-Test/ Viva Voce conducted by the college. Therefore, admissions into Masters of Fine Arts are done through CUET PG all over India.

Yes, the College of Arts, Delhi University, offers MFA courses for the duration of two years, divided into four semesters, and offered in full-time mode. The basic requirement for admission to MFA courses is that candidates must complete their BFA degree, according to the specialisation they want to pursue in their postgraduate studies. Moreover, the university offers several specialsiations in MFA courses, and the admission process for all specialisation is almost similar.

The total number of seats offered in the BFA course at College of Arts is 183. Total number of seats offered in BFA course at Jamia Milia Islamia is 80. College of Arts offers a greater number of seats in BFA course. Difference between admission requirements for courses is that Jamia Mila Islamia conducts its JMI Entrance Exam for BFA course. College of Arts accepts CUET UG scores and Practical Based Test for BFA courses.
