No, GMR Institute of Technology offers entrance-based admission to its UG and PG courses. To be eligible for admission candidates are required to apply and appear for the accepted exam. The college accepts Andhra Pradesh EAMCET and Andhra Pradesh ECET exam followed by counselling for BTech and Andhra Pradesh PGECET and GATE exam followed by counselling for M.Tech Additionaly, candidates are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria set by the college.

The result date for Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology for the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test) is pronounced by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, APSCHE. Results for the EAMCET exam are declared normally after 2 to 3 weeks from the conduct of the examination, which occurs during May.
