Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF) was established in 1981 as KL College of Engineering. It was upgraded to KL College of Engineering Autonomous in 2006 by UGC and was declared KL Deemed to be University in 2009 by UGC. KLU is situated on a spacious 100-acre campus. The University is accredited by the NAAC with an A+ grade in 2018.

KL University concluded the placements for the batch that passed out in 2024As per the latest report, over 400 recruiters participated in the placement process in 2024 and placed 4,000 students of the 2024 batch. The highest domestic and average package offered during KL University placements in 2024 stood at INR 60 LPA and INR 7.8 LPA, respectively.. Yes, KL Unievrsity Hyderabad admissions are currently open. Candidates who fulfils the eligibility requirements can apply for the preferred course. Admission to all the courses is based on entrance exam scores. The university conducts KLEEE, KLMAT or written test to select candidates for admission. Besides, KL University also accepts national-level entrance exam such as JEE Main, CAT, MAT, etc. for admission to specific programmes.

Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation offers scholarships for its students to help them with their studies. The scholarships are offered in the form of fee waivers. The scholarships are merit-based. The university will provide a concession in fees based on scores scored by students in the entrance exams such as KLEE, EAMCET, JEE-Main, JEE Advanced, CBSE (+2), INTER (AP/TS), and exams from other central/ State boards of India. KLU provides the students with financial help, through special fee concessions and scholarship programs. KL University Scholarships 2024 is based on the scores in various entrance exams including JEE Mains, Merit-Based  (CBSE board),  Other State Boards, and AP/TS State Intermediate Board. KL University also offers educational loans from a variety of banks namely, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and all other banks to the students.
