For admission to PGP at IIM Visakhapatnam, candidates are shortlisted based on the valid CAT scores. IIM Vishakhapatnam admission is conducted in phase wise manner. Find below the IIM Vishakhapatnam admission process 2025:

STEP 1: IIM Visakhapatnam application process is carried out in online mode. Candidates need to complete CAT registration for admission to PGP. Once the CAT exam results are announced, candidates are required to fill out detailed online application form separately for IIM Vishakhapatnam MBA admission.

STEP 2: Candidates who fill out the online application form and meet the minimum percentile will be considered as 'Qualified Confirmed Candidates'. IIM Visakhapatnam then calculate the weighted scores based on CAT, Class 10, Class 12, Bachelor's degree, Diversity and Wok Experience and will give the Interview calls and candidates will then be required to appear for the Personal Interview round.

STEP 3: IIM Vishakhapatnam then calculate the 'Final Aggregate Score' based on various parametres like Personal Interview, CAT, Class 10, Class 12, Bachelor's degree, Diversity and Work Experience and give the final shortlist for PGP.

STEP 4: The selected candidates can confirm their seats/ admission by paying the required amount of IIM Visakhapatnam fees for MBA.

Note: Candidates who are shortlisted and interviewed by IIMs Bangalore, Kozhikode, Lucknow or Indore (only for their PGP/ PGPM programme) will not be required to appear for the Personal Interview at IIM Vizag. For these candidates, the average of their Personal Interview scores from the aforementioned IIMs will be used to calculate their Personal Interview score for IIM Visakhapatnam.

IIM Visakhapatnam MBA admission is based on CAT exam. Candidates must apply for CAT and must select IIM Visakhapatnam in CAT registration form. IIM Visakhapatnam admission is conducted in phase wise manner. Candidates who qualify examination stage will be asked to apply via submission of an online application form through IIM Visakhapatnam website in order to get a shortlist for the Interview round. Finally, when Personal Interview calls are rolled for IIM Vishakhapatnam course admissions, candidates must fill Personal Interview Consent form. STEP 1: Candidates must visit the official website of CAT and fill out the CAT registration form. Candidates should make sure that they select IIM Visakhapatnam in the CAT application form. Candidates must provide personal, educational, work experience and other required information and must upload all the necessary documents.

STEP 2: Once the CAT results are out, candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirement are required to fill out the detailed online application form available on the IIM Visakhapatnam website by using their CAT registration number.

IIM Visakhapatnam admission is based on CAT examination percentile obtained by candidates and their performance in Personal Interview. IIM Vishakhapatnam eligibility criteria for PGP/ MBA programme is a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ PwD category) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India (including the Associate Membership Examination (AMICE) of the Institution of Civil Engineers (India) as an equivalent qualification).
