The university has not released the official placement report for the year 2023. However, as per annual report 2022, the the highest package offered was INR 10 LPA during GITAM School of Technology placement 2022. Similarly, 749 offers were made by different MNC’s across India. Some of the top recruiters that visited the campus such as Amazon, Infosys, TCS and among others during placement 2022.

The valuation of student’s performance in theory courses shall be based on two components: Continuous Evaluation which is 40 marks and semester-end examinations which is 60 marks. A student has to secure a minimum of 40% aggregate in any theory course in the two components put together to be declared to have passed the course, subject to the condition that the student must have secured a minimum of 24 marks out of 60 marks (i.e., 40%) in the theory component at the semester-end examination.

Admissions of the MBA program in GITAM Visakhapatnam are made on the basis of entrance examination scores, such as GAT and other Management entrance exams recognized at the university. The candidates should have a Bachelor of degree (at least 3 years of duration) or equivalent qualification in any field with at least 50 aggregates in a recognised university/college.

Three-Year Period – BTech (Lateral Entry) Course at GITAM, Visakhapatnam enables candidates with diploma in engineering to take direct admission in its second year. This is aimed at providing an easy way for former engineering students to enter their second year in GITAM's B. Tech programme as fast as possible. 

In order to be eligible to take the BTech programme at GITAM Visakhapatnam, an applicant needs to have a minimum aggregate of 60 percent in the Class 12/Intermediate, with a slightly lessened so that 55 percent of CBSE and ICSE students, are not obligated to meet the requirement. Or alternatively, a CGPA of 6.0 with a recognised Central/State board is acceptable. The mandatory courses under the BTech programme include Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics/Biology to those students who are doing Biotechnology.
