Since the category of the candidate is not mentioned, I'm assuming the same to be under the General All India. To get admission into IIT Guwahati for BTech courses, the closing cutoff ranks ranged between 623 and 9178. Some of the highly competitive courses includes CSE, with the closing cutoff rank of 623, Data Science and AI, with the last-round closing rank of 995, Electrical and Communication Engineering, with the last-round closing rank of 1658. So to target the highly competitive courses, candidate must target a rank of under 2000.

The placement is generally good for MCA students at NERIM, providing them with a variety of companies that are either based locally, regionally, or with some national and international organizations. Most of them find opportunities in services in the IT and software development-related categories.
Usually, the placement rate and average salary packages remain satisfactory, but they may vary with market conditions and the individual performance of candidates. To get the most accurate and recent information about MCA placements, checking directly with NERIM or talking to some of the recent pass-outs would provide a better picture.
