11 colleges, out of which 6 are private and 2 are government, offer MSW courses in Assam. The popular colleges where students can pursue the two-year degree are: Dibrugarh University, Assam University, Silchar, Royal Global University, etc. Students are admitted to these colleges based on merit or through entrance exams.

The intake capacity of College of Teacher Education,Tezpur as limited by NCTE to 100 (Two basic Unit). The Govt. of Assam select the list of teacher from secondary schools and accordingly we admit them on first come first basis. It is also worth mentioning that if the seats remain vacant and those seats are filled up by the candidates selected by the Gauhati University from their B.Ed. entrance test.So that's cutoff will be decide by that year exam as per their seat capacity.
