As a foreign student at Deakin you can work part time according to the specified conditions on the visa. As a general rule international students can work up to 48 hours per fortnight during trimesters on a student visa while during breaks between semesters students work as much as they want. Yes, the University of Sydney permits international students to work while studying. Overseas students must be mindful of the fact that they can work no more than 48 hours per fortnight while classes are in session and it is essential that this employment does not interfere with a their academic program. During vacations, they can work for unlimited hours.
