The IBS Bangalore CAT Cutoff 2024 was out for admissions to the MBA/PGDM course. The CAT Cutoff 2024 was 70 percentile overall and 40 percentile sectional for the students of the General category under the All India quota. The qualifying cutoff for other categories, like OBC AI, SC AI, ST AI, etc., was the same.

The college has a good placement record. During the 2025 drive, 1,181 students were placed. The highest count recorded in past three years. The highest package bagged by the students was INR 56 LPA. This was again the highest amount recorded in the past three years. The college witnessed the participation of 350 companies during Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering placements 2025.

The college has not released the placement percentage for 2025. The number of students placed has been disclosed. A total of 1,181 students were recruited during the placements 2025. Earlier, 1,107 students were placed in 2024 and 1,104 students were placed during the placements 2023.

If you belong to the General AI quota, yes 29000 in KCET is considered to be a good rank for BTech admission at CMR University. In 2025, the closing ranks ranged between 36709 and 55398 in General category, therefore candidates with a lower cutoff rank of 29000 are more likely to secure a seat at CMR University for BTech course. However, final admission also depends on minimum eligibility, seat availability in a particular round, etc.

Recent placement data shows MCA students at RVCE have been getting job offers: for 2025–2024 batches, there were offers and placements recorded.
Typical / recent figures: the highest package for MCA placements ~ ₹ 20 LPA, average/median ~ ₹ 8.94–9.5 LPA.
The number of recruiters visiting for MCA is non-trivial (e.g. some years ~ 35 companies) which suggests there are opportunities.
As per alumni reports on Reddit (or other student forums), some graduates say they got good roles — e.g. one former MCA student said they got placed as Data Analyst and later moved into Data Engineering.
