Students at GIBS can take part in a variety of programs that give them the chance to participate in an overseas exchange or a collaborative program. GIBS also recognizes that exposure to global learning is vital to a student's management education; this belief is reflected through partnerships with educational institutions and universities outside of India to provide students with opportunities to experience life in other cultures and academic settings. Students participating in exchange programs have the opportunity to spend a semester (and in some instances, even a few weeks) attending classes and engaging in collaborative learning with international peers. Through these exchanges, students develop an understanding of how business is conducted in a global marketplace while developing cross-culture communication skills.

In addition to the exchange options, GIBS offers dual degree/certification programs through partnerships with foreign universities. With the completion of these programs, students will obtain additional qualifications, which will enhance their professional profile in the job market. These programs generally focus on a particular subject matter or area, such as international business, leadership, and innovation, thus allowing GIBS students to be more competitive in certain areas of business and industry.

These opportunities are extremely valuable in the development of knowledge and skills as well as confidence, adaptability, and networking skills through interaction with GIBS faculty and other international students. These experiences will enable GIBS Graduates to pursue careers that require a global viewpoint and the capacity to effectively manage and develop business relationships in different markets.

Students accepted into the PGDM programme at GIBS Business School must possess an adequate academic foundation and an ample level of aptitude as demonstrated by the Previous Graduate Data Form. On CAT, the usual cutoff is approximately 60%-65%ile (lower than what top-tier IIMs require), but still allows for quality applicants to be accepted into GIBS PGDM program. On MAT, the last cutoff was between 65%-70%, and XAT is closely aligned (approximately 60%-65%ile) to this range of scores. For CMAT, the last cutoff was generally in the range of 65%-70%ile. The GMAT anticipated score range is around 500-550; which is in line with the percentile cutoffs of the previous entrance exams.  

These cutoffs provide only a basic minimum standard to use when shortlisting students for group discussion, individual interviews and writing assessments later on during the admission process. An admission decision can be based on many things including the score received on all entrance exams as well as an individual's educational achievements, communication proficiency and general character. This allows GIBS to accept those applicants who have not achieved exceptionally high scores yet exhibit vast potential as a manager.
