Hi. Congratulations on having finished engineering. I am not an IIM Bangalore grad so I will not be able to tell what exactly is needed for IIM Bangalore, but to get into an IIM, you have to ace CAT, which means you have to get a score of at least 99.70 percentile (in each section to be sure) to have a good chance of getting an interview call. Interview calls are subjective because a candidate's profile is screened which includes your 10th, 12th and graduation marks and work experience if any. Your salary will be determined by your grades and employability. Always remember that an institute will never guarantee a job. IIT and IISC are India's most reputed and offers campus placements. A degree from them has value over the world. Universities overseas don't provide placements, what they have is career service and networking with companies. In either case, you must crack the interview.University of Auckland is quite reputed however if you get through IIT you need not worry.
