In PGCET there are around 50% of 240 seats ,so it will be around 120 seats . In these seats its again distributed based on category Gm and defence . so please wait for the seat list which will be announced soon.

That depends on your perspective. In terms of job opportunities and chances for higher studies, it surely is, in my opinion. However, if you getting into one of the NITs or IITs, don't back out.
The faculty is excellent, especially in the Mechanical, IS, CS and ECE departments. With respect to Mechanical Engineering, the coursework might be slightly hectic, but there is huge exposure in terms of projects and internship opportunities. MSRIT is also one of the few colleges with a 100% placement record over the last few years. Doing well here will take you places.

MS Ramaiah is an excellent private college for Mechanical Engineering. It is in on top 10 private engineering college for BTech Mechanical Engineering.

PGCET is applicable for both PES VTU and PES university, this exam is conducted by KEA to provide seats under government quota these are for Karnataka students with so many eligible criteria.

Hi Gajendra,
No, only institute under Mumbai, Pune and other state universities have such provisions. IIT admissions are done strictly on the basis of JEE and there is no lateral entry scheme available.
You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
