Candidates enrolled in the BSc course of DSCASC have to go through an internship. The students have to complete the internship in the sixth semester of the programme. On completion, the valid certificate is issued.

DSCASC BSc seats are allocated based on fulfilment of eligibility and selection criteria. The entry requirement is Class 12 pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The below is the eligibility requirement for the BSc course University of Liverpool Banagalore:

- Indian Boards: Students must have completed 12th (CBSE/ ISC/ State Boards/ Cambridge A Level) with a min. of 75% average across 4 core subjects, with at least 75% in Maths in 10th
- IB: Students must have a min. of 32 points overall, with no score below 4. This must include at least grade 5 in HL Maths or HL CS.
