For admission to PhD programmes, aspirants need to pass UGC-NET, CSIR NET, GATE, etc. The school evaluates the performance of the candidates in the qualifying exam and entrance test for final selection.

School of Architecture, CMR University does not offer direct admissions. The school considers scores in NATA, JEE Main Paper II or CMRUAT for admission to BArch programme. The university conducts CMR University Admission Test (CMRUAT) in computer-based mode. Besides, the school also considers UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, SLET, GATE scores for PhD admission. Aspirants need to participate in all the selection rounds for a seat in SOA.
