Admission is facilitated through the SOA Admission Test (SAAT) or JEE Main, with exemption granted to those with a valid JEE Main score. The university conducts online/offline counselling after the entrance score declaration for the final admission process.Candidate shall have passed Minimum Three years / Two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent.Admission to SOA for almost all the courses is based on university-level exams i.e., SAAT (Siksha O Anusandhan Admission Test). Moreover, the university accepts the scores of relevant national-level qualifying exams as per the requirements for the chosen course, such as CAT, MAT, CLAT, GATE, JEE, NEET, and others.

Students will be selected based on registration, entrance exam score and counselling as per respective courses.

STEP 2.1: GITA PhD Admission Selection Criteria

Admission shall be based on the marks secured in the entrance test and interview, subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and the rules of reservation. Once, the candidates proceed further need to submit the necessary documents. Aspirants are advised to keep ready the following documents for the selection procedure:

STEP 3: Merit List and Admission Confirmation

Once selection rounds are over, the institute releases a merit list. To allot and confirm the seat candidates are required to pay the application fee at the admission receipt centre.
