Yes, it is possible to get an MSc in Physics at NIT Calicut with a rank of 1500 in CCMN. The round 5 cutoff rank for the same specialisation was closed at 1148 for the General AI category candidates. With this cutoff rank, it is possible to get admission to the MSc in Physics, or even all the MSc specialisations.

NIT Calicut offers admission to MSc specialisations on the basis of IIT JAM exam results, followed by CCMN counselling. NIT Calicut CCMN cutoff has been released for round 5. The cutoff was released category-wise for the All India category candidates. Among the General AI category, the closing ranks varied between 984 and 1148. The most competitive specialisation among the General AI category candidates turned out to be M.Sc. in Chemistry

NIT Calicut accepts JEE Main scores for admission to the BTech course specialisations and the BArch course. The cutoff is released category-wise for candidates belonging to the All India as well as the Home State quota. For candidates belonging to the General HS category, the cutoff ranks to get admission ranged between 241 and 47061

There is no entrance examination requirement to a certificate/short-term course at NIELIT Shillong; admission is normally made on merit-basis (normally on the qualifying examination) and often on a first come, first served basis, depending on the eligibility and seat availability.

NIELIT official guidelines indicate how certificate course admissions are performed based on an online application, payment of fee and document verification, omitting any entrance examination.
