The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology offers more than $6 million as scholarships and bursaries to students in almost every programme offered by the institute. The institute offers scholarships to students based on their academic performance, community involvement and financial needs. Students can apply for this scholarship scheme while applying for admission at SAIT. Please note that, as per the guidelines mentioned on the official website of Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, it is mandatory for an international student, including a student from India who is studying at SAIT, to have a Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) or an Individual Tax Number (ITN.) 

Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses at The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology are allowed to enrol into part-time jobs. International students must have valid SW-1 visas, which provide allowance to international students for getting into part-time jobs. Students are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during their regular academic sessions. During vacations or semester breaks, students can work full-time. Students are advised to reach out to the admission department for allowance to indulge in part-time jobs during their academic sessions, as courses that require intensive academic attention of students, can only work up to 12 hours per week. Hence, the part-time work requirements and eligibility may vary as per the student's choice of course.
