You can take admissions in PEC after 12th on the basis of merit list of JEE Mains.
I don't think there are intake after Diploma.
But you can still check the site - www.pec.ac.in.

When it comes to Government sector, State wise National TV broadcasting department recruits Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication holders. All India Radio also recruits this Diploma Degree holder.

Yes you can get admission in UIAMS which is not a good department as UBS. But yes for that you also have to give their own exam.
