The faculty at SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology is quite well qualified and experienced. Most of the educators are academics or industry professionals, offering students a balanced educational experience. Many of the professors are known to be supportive and approachable, which helps in the learning process of the students.
Most instructors are good at teaching students and responding to the inquiries of the students, however there are instances of some instructors, and not all, who lack efficacy in teaching.

Admissions are strictly done as per the State Government Norms. 65% of seats of the college are filled through Single Window Counseling and rest of the seats are filled through the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional Colleges, Tamil Nadu, as per the norms of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
