We have to apply to SRMJEEE in order to get admitted to SRM University. You also need to score well on SRMJEEE in order to be eligible for a seat through SRMJEEE counseling. Admission to most programs is by a national entrance exam administered by authorized or statutory boards or organizations, or by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (previously SRM University). A few programs have direct admissions. Apart from the aforementioned, obtaining the minimal marks in the qualifying exam is another prerequisite for admission eligibility.Even if they choose not to take the SRMJEEE, any applicant who meets the requirements for the SAT or IIT JEE Main will be admitted straight.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras, also known as IITM or IIT Madras, is a public technical and research institution that was founded in 1959 and is recognised as a "Institute of Eminence." It is the third IIT to be founded by the Indian government and is self-governing. IITMR is the first university-based research park in India, and it is situated on the IIT Madras campus in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. For the fourth consecutive year, IIT Madras has maintained its top ranking according to the NIRF Rankings in 2023. In the QS World University Rankings of 2024 and 2023, IIT Madras was placed 285 and 250, respectively, on a global scale. IIT Madras provides more than 100 research opportunities through its 16 departments, 4 national, and 10 institute research centers.

All applicants must meet the minimal requirements for the selected course as specified by the school in order to be admitted. Exams for eligibility include the CBSE 12th NIFT Entrance Exam. BDes is a four-year full-time degree programme offered by NIFT Chennai. Six specializations are covered in this course: fashion design, knitwear design, leather design, textile design, accessory design, and fashion communication. The NIFT entrance exam is the only factor used to determine admission to the program. NIFT Chennai charges between INR 6.1 Lacs and INR 12.3 Lacs for BDes. The tuition fee is the sole expense specified.
