Applicants can take admission to the Anna University BSc course without an entrance exam. Because the university accepts the Class 12 scores for admissions to BSc courses and releases the merit after evaluating the applicants' scores. Moreover, those who qualify for this primary eligibility criterion must participate in the TANCET counselling for final selection.

No, a candidate may only join one programme of Chennai Institute of Technology at a time. This is because, according to the UGC and AICTE, A student can only pursue one Physical/Full-Time course at a time. Moreover, CIT Chennai only offers courses in Physical/Full-Time modes with no distance or open-learning modes available.

No, one does not have to apply separately at IIT Madras website after JoSAA counselling. This is because the institute follows a common admission process for its BTech course just like the other IITs. Shortlisted students who get a seat through the JoSAA counselling, simply need to report for document verification and pay the acceptance fees. All the details of the students will be forwarded to IIT Madras by JoSAA directly. Information about the orientation, fee payment, and hostel allocation will be mailed online.
