CAT is not a mandatory requirement for admission to the MBA programme at PSG Institute of Advanced Studies (PSGIAS). The institute accepts other entrance exams such as MAT, ATMA, and TANCET for the selection process. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks are eligible to apply for the program. The final selection is based on academic performance, entrance exam scores, group discussion, and personal interview. Therefore, while CAT is accepted, it is not a mandatory requirement for admission to the MBA programme at PSGIAS

There are 3 rounds of admission and counselling for the eligible students at the university. PSGIAS is an approved research center of Anna University and Bharathiar University, offering research opportunities in various fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Nanoscience and Technology, Material Science, Biotechnology, Nanobiotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry.
