Kathir College of Engineering in Coimbatore is considered good for engineering aspirants. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University. The college offers decent infrastructure, supportive faculty, and moderate placements with average packages around INR 3.8 LPA, and the highest reaching up to INR 7 LPA.

The TNEA 2025 B.E./B.Tech admission rank list, incorporating epithet intervention in Kathir College of Engineering, was declared on June 27, 2025. A window period for candidates to raise grievances regarding their ranks was open from June 28 to July 2, 2025. To be qualified for admission into the B.E./B.Tech course in Kathir College of Engineering (KCE), applicants should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates can get B.E./B.Tech admissions into the Kathir College of Engineering (KCE) either based on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling or on the management quota. Candidate should have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for both. Hi.As per the 2024 cutoff list for Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Renigunta, the last round closing ranks for B.E. / B.Tech admission was between 38335 and 134194. The most in-demand B.E. / B.Tech specialisation among the General HS category was B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, for which the cutoff rank in 2024, 2023 and 2022 stood at 38335, 34784 and 33269, respectively. From the cutoff data of the past three years, it is evident that B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering saw a rise in its last-round closing ranks.

The institute offers BE and B.Tech at UG level in 5 specializations. The minimum requirement for both courses is 50% marks in 10+2. Those who are willing to apply are granted admission based on the performance in the qualifying exam. However, the final seat allotment is based on the TNEA Counselling.

 

Kathir College of Engineering also provides admission in ME and MBA at PG level. Interested candidates must have a Bachelor's degree to apply in any of the courses. Admission is offered based on the TANCET score and TANCA Counselling.
