SUVR and SR Government Polytechnic for Women has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| After 10th Diploma | Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination (Class 10th) conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. such as CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates belonging to NIOS/APOSS/Other Examinations recognised as equivalent to SSC by A.P. Govt. should have passed all the subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% marks in each subject. Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in April/ May-2023, and whose results are yet to be declared can also apply. There is no age restriction. |

Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply. |

OR Must have passed an examination of another University or Body recognised as equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination. |
