Both IPU and DU are public/ government universities and are one of the oldest universities. DU admissions are tough because of the high cutoff for some colleges, whereas for IPU, admissions are comparatively easy for some colleges with low cut-offs. The infrastructure of colleges affiliated with IPU is comparatively better than that affiliated with DU. The fee is another factor that makes DU a preference among students. In the end, it depends on the students, which university is better for them.

Every BA course pursued from DU is the best. But a few specializations that are highly-regarded in DU colleges are BA (Hons) Political Science, BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) English, BA (Hons) History, and BA (Hons) Psychology. Gargi College, Hansraj College, LSR College, Hindu College, Kirori Mal College, Miranda House, Ramjas College, etc., are some great options for BA courses, and the admissions are based on a merit system.
