The institute may follow the reservation policy as prescribed by the state or central government. IIIT Delhi BTech seat allotment is carried out through JAC counselling. There are a total of 548 seats (as per official website/sanctioning body, but still subject to changes). Some key pointers related to seats reservation at IIITD are:

  • 85% of seats are for Delhi candidates who have done Class 12 from Delhi
  • 15% of seats for outside delhi candidates
  • A 5% relaxation to defence category candidates

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi has the highest number of seats for the BTech CSE programme. The institute has 121 seats for the BTech CSE programme. During seat allotment, the sanctioned seat intake is considered along with applicants exam score and category. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIITD) may not offer direct admission to its BTech courses. The admission is primarily entrance-based. IIIT Delhi BTech admission is done on the basis of applicants JEE Main score followed by JAC Delhi counselling for seat allotment. Additionally, the students from Delhi can apply for the BTech CSD counse with a valid UCEED rank. The institute also admit non-science Delhi students to BTech CSSS course based on performance in Class 12 and without a exam score. The requirement can vary depending on the college in DU, however, the minimum condition is to pass Class 12 with PCM/PCMB subjects from a recognised board.
