For admission to BTech courses, the JEE Main rank ranged from 140008 to 145448 for the students belonging to the general category. The IPU CET Law exam is conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). It is conducted for all colleges under IPU, not only for the HMR Institute of Technology and Management. The IPUCET Law results are excpected to be released in the first week of July.

Admission to the HMR Institute of Technology and Management can be moderately competitive. The college offers only BTech, MBA, and MCA courses. Admission to all these courses are done based on the scores obtained in entrance exams such as the JEE Main exam for BTech and CAT for MCA. To be eligible for these courses, the candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks in the previous qualification in a relevant stream.
