Campus life at the University of Helsinki offers numerous benefits, including a supportive environment, a vibrant student community, support for your career, ease of transportation, and a safe and enjoyable city to live in. The student community is very active, with thousands of events organized by more than 250 student organizations.
However, living off-campus at the University of Helsinki also has its own set of benefits, including access to public transport, cost-effectiveness, experience of living in Helsinki, privacy, etc.

According to the University of Helsinki's website, Indian students applying for international master's programs are required to submit a copy of their passport or residence permit card, as well as their educational documents from Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences. The educational documents should be uploaded as a clear copy or scan of the transcript of records to the application system. Official translations must be certified on each page with the stamp and/or signature of the translator, and self-made translations are not accepted. The application deadline for Indian students at the University of Helsinki for the international master's programs starting in autumn 2024 is 3 Jan 2024 at 15:00 (UTC+2). It is recommended to apply well before the deadline to have more time to react to any document deficiencies, and if needed, applicants may supplement their application attachments until 24 Jan 2024 at 15:00 (UTC+2). The University of Helsinki does not charge an application fee for degree programs.

For the international master's programs, the minimum TOEFL iBT score required is 92, with a minimum score of 22 in the writing section. Similarly, for the bachelor's programme in science, a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 92 is required.
In addition to TOEFL, the following tests are also accepted:
IELTS: The University of Helsinki accepts IELTS Academic test scores with a minimum overall score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 6.0 in the writing section
