First you have to satisfy minimum eligibility conditions that are minimum 55%(45% for SC/ST) in BSc or qualifying degree and minimum 50% in qualifying exam.
Then cutoff will decide on basis of numbers of candidates appeared in exam and difficulty level of exam.

Sir, the National Institute of Design does not have preferred NRI quota seats. Instead, it provides admission in the following categories:
1. General
2. General (EWS)
3. Scheduled Caste (SC)
4. Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL)
5. Scheduled Tribe (ST)
6. Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
Apart from that, it provides admission to 15% of seats under the Foreign Nationals in Overseas (Supernumerary) Category. For this quota, the applicant must be a citizen of a foreign country.
