Yes, MRU follows the below-given seat reservation policy while admitting students to various programmes:
- NRI/Foreign National/PIO seats: 15% of all programmes
- General Seats: 85% (25% of seats are reserved for Haryana domicile students, of which 10% of seats are for the scheduled castes of Haryana)
- Kashmiri migrants: 1 seat in merit quota for all programmes
