The answer to this question depends on the course opted by the candidate. Aspirants applying for PGDM have to pass any of the accepted entrance exams for admission. The institute considers CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT scores for PGDM admission. However, aspirants applying for UG courses can get admission without entrance exams cores. Such candidates are selected based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.

VVSIM Hyderabad admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The institute considers entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT or ATMA for PGDM admission. Selected candidates are further called for a group discussion and personal interview round for admission.
The selection for UG courses is based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam. Candidates with a score in an entrance exam can also apply for UG programmes. Shortlisted aspirants have to further pass a personal interview for final admission.
