EWS All India category students need to attain a rank of at least 6622 for the BTech CSE course. This is the maximum rank accepted for admission to the CSE branch as per the IIIT Kalyani CSE cutoff 2026. The lower the rank than 6622, the better.

Students with a rank higher than this can wait till the next round of counselling results are out. Usually, as the counselling process progresses, the cutoff gets more lenient.

Yes, it is worth it to join IIIT Kalyani. The institute is among the popular institutes offering engineering courses. IIIT Kalyani  offers a solid academic foundation, decent placements for core branches, and improving infrastructure. It has also been granted the Institute of National Importance (INI) status.

According to the reviews on Shiksha (Aisha Jaiswal-B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028) there are campus drives being conducted where companies recruit. The highest package was around 30 LPA and the average was around 12 LPA. The faculty members are all very nice and rounded people. They are very knowledgeable in their own field and also help us with things other than academics.
