IIIT Kalyani course admissions are entrance-based. Aspirants fulfilling course-specific eligibility criteria and valid scores of accepted entrance exams can apply. For admission to a BTech programme, aspirants need to have a valid score in the JEE Main exam. Hence, eligible students have to complete the JEE application through the NTA official website. Candidates need to apply for GATE for admission in MTech. For other courses, aspirants can apply through the institute's official website.

IIIT Kalyani BTech cutoff 2026 has been released for admissions to various specialisations for the first round. As per the firrst round cutoff 2026, for candidates belonging to the OBC category All India quota, the cutoff ranged from 15287 to 17080. As per this range, BTech CSE (Cyber Security) and BTech ECE were the most and least competitive coursed for admission.
For the OBC Female AI category, the same round cutoff ranged from 13455 to 19435. For this category, the same courses were as above were the most and least competitive.
