Established in 1969 jointly by the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, the IHM Bangalore is a public institute that is affiliated with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).

It is located in Bangalore and offers UG,  PG,  Diploma and Certificate courses in the field of Hospitality and Hotel Management. IHM Bangalore is also certified by the ISO.

Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore accepts Class 12 with 50% aggregate for admission to undergraduate i.e., B.E. courses. Further, to be eligible for admission candidates are required to apply and appear for the accepted entrance exam such as COMEDK UGET, and KCET.
