CAT and MAT scores do matter for scholarships at GIBS, but it's not like only toppers or super high percentile students get considered. It's competitive for sure, but the good part is GIBS looks at the overall profile — not just one exam number. So if someone has decent CAT/MAT scores plus good academics, participation, or even strong interview performance, they still have a fair shot.

Bangalore University has anti ragging cell. The Institute takes action against the students involved in ragging. Ragging is banned in the campus and students have the penalities. The institution has implemented strict anti-ragging measures which including awareness programs, counseling services and a dedicated helpline for students.

Yeah, internships and industry projects are pretty much a core part of how we study at GIBS. It's not like a “nice to have” — it's built into the program. As a student, I felt it makes a huge difference because you're constantly applying what you learn instead of just studying for exams. We had live projects with companies, internships, case work, and even small consulting-style assignments during the trimester. By the time placements start, you already have real work experience to talk about, which honestly gives confidence.

From my experience, the international exposure at GIBS is honestly one of the things that makes the campus feel very different from a regular B-school. It's not just about saying “global exposure” on brochures — they actually bring people from outside. We had MIT alumni, global speakers, and faculty from abroad conducting bootcamps, workshops, and sessions. Some of us even got to work on cross-cultural projects and presentations with them, which really pushes you to think beyond the Indian market.
