JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Engineering & Technology selection criteria is entrance-based. The college accepts students only on entrance basis. The selection criteria for JU-FET courses is as below:

  • BTech = JET/ JEE/ CUET/ UNIGAUGE/ COMEDK 
  • MTech = GATE/ JET

Students need to meet the admission requirements to get admission in the JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Engineering & Technology. The JU-FET eligibility is as follows:

  • JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Engineering & Technology BTech eligibility - Class 12  with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST) with Physics and Mathematics + Chemistry/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Biology 
  • JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Engineering & Technology M.Tech eligibility - BE/ BTech in relevant stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% in the qualifying examination in case of SC, ST)

The accepted entrance exams are NUCAT, KCET, and others. Students who wish to get admission must first reach the official site of the college. Then, click on the Apply Now tab. Some of the courses offered other than the flagship programme of the institute are MTech,  MCA, Diploma and Doctoral level programmes. Nitte Bangalore offers these courses in full-time mode on the basis of merit and entrance exams.

Meenakshi Institute of Technology Bangalore is accredited by NBA (Tier-1), accorded with 'A+' Grade by NAAC National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The flagship programmes available at the college are BTech and BSc.

No, NITTE is a university, whereas the NMIT is the college under it. Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology Bengaluru Karnataka has been approved by the AICTE and is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. Hence, one is a university and the other one is its college.
