School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University provides the flagship BCom course to students for a solid Commerce career. Students can certainly obtain admissions to School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University BCom programme without appearing for the CUET exam, as admissions are held according to the merit basis. No, admissions at RNS Institute of Technology is entrance-based. The institute considers scores of the candidates in KMAT, PGCET, CMAT or MAT for MBA. Admission to BE programme is based on KCET, COMEDK or JEE Main scores of the aspirants. Besides, the selection for MCA and M.Tech programmes is based on Karnataka PGCET scores. The institute also accepts KMAT for MCA and GATE for MTech, respectively.

A 76 percentile in JEE Mains places you in the mid-range of test-takers, which might not be high enough to get seat in a competitive CSE branch in top-tier institutions like PES University, especially through JEE Main scores. This might be challenging but not impossible. Also, PES University gives more weightage to PESSAT and KCET scores for CSE admissions.

With 85k KCET rank, you may get CSE at Presidency University, Bangalore under management quota. The fee for B.Tech CSE there is around INR 2–2.5 lakhs per year. Total cost for 4 years could be INR 8–10 lakhs including other charges. Make sure to confirm exact fees during admission—they may vary slightly.
