No, School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University does not have an offline mode of application. The only mode to apply for students is online. Students are able to apply through the institute page as long as they complete the eligibility as set by the institute. Though the selection process requires offline written exams.

It is difficult to say whether getting into School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University is tough or easy and will depend on the:
- Candidate's level of preparation
- Competition
- Available seats
- Personal motivation
As well as a number of other factors that will not be discussed here. But admissions to the different courses at the institute will depend on entrance exam scores such as MGU CAT which is conducted in-house by the university itself.

Yes, School of Indian Legal Thought is a recognised institute as a constituent of Mahatma Gandhi University it shares the same recognitions, approvals and accreditations from national bodies such as the UGC and the NAAC which gave the institute an A+ grade. While the institute's course have been approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Yes, School of Indian Legal Thought is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University as a constituent of the university and extends courses under it sharing the same campus, recognitions, approvals and accreditations. Students will have their degrees extended under both the names of School of Indian Legal Thought and Mahatma Gandhi University.

The NUALS Kochi CLAT Cutoff 2026 was out for admission to the BA LLB and LLM course for Round 1. The cutoff was released in the form of opening and closing ranks for the All India category candidates. According to the closing cutoff in Round 1 2025, the cutoff range was between 1076 and 1131 for the General AI category for the BA LLB and LLM course, respectively.
LL.M. LLB (Hons) was the hardest out of the two to avail admission to for the General AI category. On the other hand for the PWD AI category, the hardest course specialisation were LL.M. in International Trade Law and B.A. in Constitutional and Administrati
