No, admissions in IIT Kharagpur without entrance exam is not possible. The modes of IIT Kharagpur course admissions are both online & offline. Admission to various courses is based on merit & scores of entrance tests. The accepted entrance exams are GATE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and others.

IIT Kharagpur admission to various available courses is based on merit & scores of entrance tests. The accepted entrance exams are GATE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and others. Students must first visit the JEE Main website for IIT Kharagpur University admission. Then students must appear for the JEE Main examinations. Then take part in the counselling round & with valid scores pay the admission fee in the selected and the allotted college.

The basic eligibility requirement for the BTech programme IIT Kharagpur is pass in Class 12th with a minimum of 75% aggregate and the accepted entrance exams are JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
